Position: Senior Cybersecurity Specialist
Location: Toronto, Hybrid (3 days a week onsite)

Our client, one of the largest purchasers of beverage alcohol, we are a best-in-class, customer-first, responsible retailer and wholesaler, supporting local communities and delivering value to Ontarians.

They are looking for a Senior Cyber Security Specialist. Who will be responsible for providing strategic support to ensure the ongoing protection of the company. You will use your subject matter expertise to support the business by identifying potential cybersecurity risks from all aspects of the organization from new projects to existing applications as well as 3rd party vendors.

Core Requirements:

- Educate, and explain security requirements, rules, standards, and procedures to internal business stakeholders as it relates to projects and strategic objectives
- Conduct security analyses within the enterprise and generate Threat Risk Assessment (TRA) reports that clearly articulate hazards
- Identify information security risks in applications, infrastructure, business units, business processes, and external suppliers, and identify potential threats and exposures
- Lead or Assist, as required, during Incident Response and Recovery activities
- Lead vulnerability management meetings with internal patch teams to discuss vulnerabilities, provide technical information, and recommendations and escalate if required to ensure systems are patched within defined policy timelines
- Prepare quarterly firewall assessments, review rules, objects, and configurations, and make recommendations while working with the network team

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or an equivalent field of study, and/or a mix of education, certifications, and experience
- At least 3 years working as a cybersecurity practitioner
- Knowledge of Cloud environments such as Azure and AWS
- Knowledge of Industry security standards such as NIST, PCI DSS, CIS, ISO, COBIT, etc.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented; adept at managing and meeting multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines in a high-paced environment
- CISSP certified applicants are preferred
