How your role will add to the story:

We're looking for a Senior Cyber Security Consultant to join our Global Cyber Security Team and worldwide organization. You will be a subject matter expert and support our Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) by shaping and maintaining strong relationships with our ISO Community. This senior role requires overall strategic and tactical leadership to cybersecurity, IT teams, and business users in major initiatives and projects. A day in the life

  • Contact person for the global ISO Community with approx. 450 members, especially when subject matter expertise and consulting are required.
  • Adapt, redefine, and implement the global ISO role with approx. 450 members based on new or changing cybersecurity processes and requirements, incl. updated trainings and certifications for ISOs.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute regular ISO meetings.
  • Become community lead and one of the editors of the ISO social intranet group incl. continuous updates of the ISO Database and ISO Toolbox.
  • Maintain and enhance ISO training and certification process including supplier management of the training providers.
  • Strategic and future-oriented further development of the cybersecurity organizational structures in coordination and with the support of the Group CISO.
  • Lead or support global initiatives and rollout projects of security processes, technologies, and services in order to achieve objectives in a global, complex, and ever-changing high-tech environment.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute initiatives with other colleagues responsible for user cybersecurity awareness, communication, and training.
  • Keep track of trends, especially in the area of application security, in order to minimize the risk of software/application security incidents.

Qualifications

Mercedes-Benz Star skills, requirements & traits:
  • BA/BS or MS Degree in computer/information science, information technology, or cyber security or 5+ years of relevant industry experience (required).
  • 2+ years of experience in IT security (required).
  • Excellent communicator, able to engage and effectively respond to diverse stakeholders (required).
  • Able to work under pressure, facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution (required).
  • Certificates like CISSP, CISM and CISA will be a plus.
  • Proven work experience in security processes, global community management, or central service management will be a plus.
  • Language skills: English fluent; German will be a plus.
