Job Title Senior Manager, Security Consultant



What is the Opportunity?

As a Senior Manager, Security Consultant, you will provide Cyber Security expertise within RBC and act as a key risk advisor to internal businesses and technology clients. In this role, you will offer advisory support for initiatives by IT partners ensuring risk mitigation controls are properly designed and documented. You will be the primary Cyber Security consultant for projects involving new technology initiatives and enhancements to existing applications as well as interacting with all levels of the organization as a subject matter expert to ensure consistent and effective cyber security risk planning.

What will you do?

  • Being a trusted advisor to Technology / Business executives and their teams by providing consulting services on IT Risk and cyber security risks.
  • Advise and influence our partners on security best practices, standards awareness and connect to the greater Global Cyber Security (GCS), architecture, and risk communities.
  • Conduct Cyber Security Risk assessments, allowing for identification gaps in security, unknown risks and potential strategies reducing risk exposure to RBC.
  • Develop and manage relationships with senior management, executives, and key decision makers, with respect to cyber risks and related topics.
  • Educate key organizational stakeholders and senior executive management on cyber security matters and impacts to the organization.
What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Cyber Security, Risk Management and/or related technology experience
  • Knowledge of risk and security practices including cyber security frameworks (NIST, CoBIT, SANS) and industry best practices (OWASP)
  • Diversified knowledge across range of technologies and expert knowledge in one security / technology domain such as Cloud, Network, Access Management, Data protection, etc.
  • Strong analytical mindset that deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards
  • Demonstrated an ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills
Nice-to-have
  • Undergraduate degree and/or certification(s) within field of Cyber Security and/or IT Risk realm (CISSP, CRISC, CISA,..)
  • Knowledge of OWASP, SANS, NIST, ISO 27001, ISF or other security-related practices
