We are seeking an experienced Senior Customer Data Analyst to join our team. This individual will play a critical role within the Decision Support - Customer Insights team, reporting into the manager of this function. This team works on strategic projects to drive customer engagement across the organization. This is a high-profile role that often supports the Senior Executive team and works with other cross-unfunctional teams in the organization.

What you will do

You will provide proactive insights on customer behaviour to support key stakeholders across the organization. You have the curiosity, skills, and abilities to formulate actionable insights for business stakeholders and to synthesize information across a broad ecosystem to enable data-driven decision making. You will identify opportunities to drive customer engagement that will lead to increased revenue or reduced expense. You are a team player with strong communication skills and with a collaborative spirit. You can network at all levels and have a genuine curiosity that improves your understanding of projects.

In this role, you will:

Derive Customer Insights: Perform customer analytics, including developing models and advanced analytical processes. This includes understanding how our customers are shopping in our stores and what products they are purchasing.

Interpret Data: Extract, manipulate and interpret data to isolate on key trends. Summarize the results into concise and informative reports that business partners across the organization can easily interpret.

Improve Customer Profitability: Establish a strong understanding of customer profitability and financial performance to find creative ways to maximize profitability and customer engagement within our portfolio.

Influence through data driven storytelling: Influence executives and cross-functional teams by creating presentations using data story-telling and sound insights.

Innovate: Challenge the status quo through innovation of existing tools and processes.

Build Models: Develop customer models which provide Marketing and Loyalty teams with alternative approaches to increase engagement and entanglement within retail banners.

What you bring

B.S. in Business, Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science

2+ years of professional work experience in data domain

Able to turn insights into actionable opportunities through strong storytelling and visualizations

Advance knowledge of SQL to perform complex data analysis

Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Curiosity and strong problem-solving skills

Balance of technical and business acumen, including modeling and strategic business case development

SAS, Python, or another language to transform and process data

Big Query: experience with cloud databases such as Google Cloud or Snowflake
