In this full-time permanent role, you will be a champion of diversity & inclusion.

  • When delegated, provides leadership to a team of engineers/designers in the production of numerous control systems deliverables for industrial applications.
  • Prepares or assists with development of staff plans, engineering budgets, and schedules.
  • Works closely with other disciplines, project personnel, and client stakeholders to meet overall project objectives.
  • Approves and authenticates work products.
  • Assists in mentorship of team personnel.
  • Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.


Qualifications
  • 15+ years of progressive experience as an instrumentation and controls engineer, including experience in an EPC/EPCM environment.
  • A recognized degree or diploma in an engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited college or university, and professionally licensed with APEGA or able to be licensed.
  • Practical work experience in design engineering or relevant equivalent experience in allied types of engineering sufficient to demonstrate competence as a trained engineer.
  • Strong technical skills in numerous areas such as instrumentation selection and sizing, wiring design including various hazardous protection methods, PLC/DCS/SIS hardware and software, safety system design and applications, development of complex narratives and related documents.
  • Excellent communication skills (Oral and Written).
  • Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills. Familiar with control systems applications such as Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI).
  • Previous supervisory and/or lead experience, and/or technical expert in one or more areas.
