KPMG\'s Operations Advisory Practice helps organizations to develop efficient and effective operations to support strategic business objectives. We support our clients in identifying, quantifying, prioritizing and delivering the changes required to align their operating models to their financial targets and strategic objectives. Our Operations Advisory practice is seeking a Senior Consultant for our Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector to strengthen our Management Consulting practice in the Toronto office. We are looking for talented professionals like you, with a proven record for motivating teams and delivering exceptional, meaningful client service.

What you will do

As a Senior Consultant in our TMT practice, you\'ll be learning from some of the best in the industry and growing your personal skillset by:

  • Supporting project delivery by leading engagement deliverables and team members to successful outcomes with a focus on client needs and generating value
  • Working closely with clients by facilitating workshops and whiteboard sessions to understand business issues and underlying people, process data and technology
  • Building your technical and analytical expertise by delivering high quality results on time and proactively identifying and resolving project issues
  • Growing your coaching and feedback skills through providing day-to-today guidance and mentoring to peers and supporting our Open Feedback culture
  • Supporting practice and business development for the TMT practice, including contributing to the practice growth strategy and supporting key pursuits
  • Working with senior KPMG leaders to understand, enhance and integrate service offerings across the Advisory practices
What you bring to the role


  • 3 to 5 years of comparable consulting experience or experience in TMT strategy and operations, with an understanding of key market trends in the telco sector locally and globally
  • A university degree in a related discipline (Business, Management, Engineering, Operations, MBA or equivalent form)
  • Industry knowledge and work experience in one or more of the following: telco operations (field services, data and advanced analytics, customer experience and digital strategy, product management, etc.); digital infrastructure (emerging technologies such as 5G, IoT, smart cities, etc.); and/or ESG (operational impact assessments, operationalizing ESG initiatives, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in teams including the ability to explain concepts, challenges, business processes, and technical issues to key stakeholders, potentially including C-level executives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify critical drivers of success for client service delivery, and the ability to develop dynamic, practical, and pragmatic solutions
  • Passion for delivering high quality services and achieving client satisfaction
  • The ability to handle a broad range of projects with competing priorities and deadlines under pressure
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
