Your Opportunity:

The Senior Consultant, Quality Improvement is a leader in the development and promotion of best practice in quality improvement and patient safety, developing and providing clinical quality improvement services within Alberta\'s Transplant Programs. Located at the University of Alberta Hospital, Mazankowski, KEC, and Stollery Children\'s Hospital in Edmonton, Transplant Services offers a wide range of cadaveric and living donor transplant procedures, including kidney, liver, heart, lung, pancreas, islet, small bowel, eye and tissue for adult and pediatric patients, working closely with the Calgary-based programs, this position will support quality initiatives from a provincial lens.

Description:

The Senior Consultant facilitates the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives. Through collaboration and consultation with stakeholders, this position is responsible for influencing culture change through continual representation of the quality management body of knowledge in strategic program development, influencing change management approaches in development and implementation of new programs and improvement initiatives and for facilitating the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives related to service improvement, patient safety and accreditation standards.

Required Qualifications:

BSc. in a Health Sciences discipline. Previous clinical experience within transplantation as a nurse or allied health professional. Previous experience with quality improvement, analytics, and reporting. Basic computer skills including MS Outlook and Word.
Additional Required Qualifications:

Competency with clinical information systems (e.g. Connect Care), analytical and reporting software. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Nursing Degree and/or Master\'s level preparation.
