About The Opportunity:
Working as part of the Communications team, you will play an integral role in the development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of various internal and external communications initiatives in support of Council priorities and City operations. Key accountabilities include: managing media relations and providing sound advice and messages on municipal issues, as well as developing strategies to promote the City\'s brand and services, You will be responsible for developing various communications strategies, conducting research related to a broad range of emergent issues, working to increase public engagement, and providing expertise to staff to communicate various departmental programs and initiatives.
About Your Background:
Experienced in the areas of corporate communications, media relations, social media, marketing, and citizen engagement, you have a relevant university degree and strong organizational and project management abilities. An excellent writer and relationship builder, you have demonstrated success in developing creative solutions to a broad range of communication issues. A valid class 5 driver\'s license is required.
