Your future role on our team





BBA is currently seeking a Senior Civil 3D Designer to join our team in Vancouver, BC to support our projects in the natural resources and energy sectors, including renewables, mining and metals, pulp and paper, biofuels, oil and gas markets across Canada and internationally. The primary focus for project work will be to prepare construction drawings for infrastructure projects, including but not limited to, site civil (including wet utility design, site grading and drainage), roadway design and storm water basins/channels.

Lead and prepare 3D models and 2D drawings for earthworks, roadworks, drainage works and underground services using Civil 3D. Convey results and findings by means of discussions, graphic-based presentations, and project documentation. Work with multidisciplinary 3D model coordinators on Navisworks Adhere to computer-assisted design (CAD) standards and templates specific to the discipline and ensure quality control Design or redesign complex layouts and drawings from general written or verbal specifications from the project team Create and update design records database for future reference Proficient in Civil 3D, Global Mapper or other GIS software, and Navisworks. Support estimating and planning efforts by providing accurate quantity take-offs and design inputs.

Overview of certifications and job requirements





Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, with demonstrated expertise in drafting/CAD technology or similar preferred 10+ years in civil design, preferably in mining or heavy industrial projects Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Navisworks, and GIS tools Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Familiarity with national and local codes related to site drainage and erosion control Proven ability to read and understand both 2D and 3D drawings Asset: Knowledge or understanding of the principals of surveying
