:Position Summary:Under the general direction of the Sous Chefs, the Senior Chef de Tournant plays a crucial role in the food production in the kitchen by providing versatile support and guidance to the entire team. This position requires flexibility, culinary expertise, and the ability to maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation. The Chef de Tournant steps in to cover any station as needed, ensuring seamless kitchen operations under the general direction of the Sous Chefs. This role leads by example, assists with overseeing food production, ensures adherence to policies and regulatory requirements, assists with managing costs, and contributes to fostering a positive and safe work environment.Key Accountabilities:

  • Rotate through kitchen stations to provide coverage and support to Demis and CDPs
  • Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and brand standards.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation, maintaining the high standards of a fine dining restaurant.
  • Ensure workstations remain clean and organized, and culinary team members adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with inventory checks, ordering, and stock rotation.
  • Collaborate with Head Chef and kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Assist in training and guiding new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and standards.
  • Ensure stations are set up with necessary tools and ingredients.
  • Assist in assigning kitchen duties.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively within the kitchen and with Front of House staff.
  • Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with the rest of the culinary team.
  • Lead by example in preparing, cooking, and presenting menu items.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health, and safety regulations.
Education and Qualification Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years\' progressive culinary experience; with a minimum of one year in a supervisory capacity.
  • Post secondary culinary education required.Level 1 FoodSafe.
  • Able to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • A passion for providing a Great Experiences and Memories to all customers, both external and internal
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service oriented communication
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines with particular attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability plan effectively and work without direct supervision.
  • Able to lead a team through motivating, developing, and sharing the successes of the team. Willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development
