Job Summary: Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Services, this position will be responsible for all airport and fuel related contracts and negotiations across Porter\xe2\x80\x99s growing network.
Porter has recently launched its game changing expansion plans, growing from a one fleet, 29 aircraft operation, to a 79+ aircraft, two fleet operation. Porter\xe2\x80\x99s aggressive expansion roll out will see 50 new Embraer E195-E2 jet aircraft delivered between December 2022 and early 2024, with an additional 50 aircraft options.

The Commercial Services department\xe2\x80\x99s critical role in supporting Porter\xe2\x80\x99s expansion plans will result in the department growing in the months and years to come. The Specialist, Airports & Fuel position is a new role to the department. Porter is looking for an individual who is looking to grow their career, and has procurement experience involving jet fuel, ground handling and de-icing. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead large vendor negotiations for all jet fuel, ground handling and de-icing RFPs.
• Present RFP outcomes and business cases to Porter\xe2\x80\x99s Senior Leadership Team
• Develop strong relationships with current and prospective vendors
• Actively participate in Fuel Consortiums and advocate for Porter\xe2\x80\x99s needs
• Actively participate in De-icing Consortiums and advocate for Porter\xe2\x80\x99s needs
• Participate in Porter\xe2\x80\x99s Sustainable Aviation Fuels \xe2\x80\x9cSAF\xe2\x80\x9d strategy
• Manage monthly fuel nominations with fuel providers
• Attend industry events and conferences on behalf of Porter
• Work with Porter\xe2\x80\x99s internal teams on spending initiatives
• Identifying cost saving opportunities within existing supplier relationships
• Create and maintain purchasing tracking models
• Travel to markets outside of Toronto to visit and assess current or potential vendors
• Participate in outside of work social engagements \xe2\x80\x93 dining, sporting events, etc. with vendors
• Increase amount of spend under management via spend analysis and stakeholder engagement
• Responsible for being a Coupa SME, Porter\xe2\x80\x99s procure to pay platform
• Actively participate in Porter\xe2\x80\x99s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
• Any other duties as requested

Qualifications:

• A University degree or college diploma
• Three years + procurement experience
• Previous airport and fuel contract experience
• Strong familiarity with the Porter brand
• Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Effective analytical and presentation skills
• Skilled in Google Office Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel
• Mandatory Covid-19 vaccination
