Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities. This position requires a nurturing spirit and the ability to work effectively with individuals of varying needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, and other health challenges.

Duties

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide medication administration and ensure adherence to care plans. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition to healthcare professionals. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences while assisting with meal planning. Maintain cleanliness in living areas by performing light housekeeping tasks. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary. Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events. Document patient observations and care provided while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement effective care strategies tailored to individual needs.

Requirements

Proven experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, assisted living, or nursing homes is preferred. Familiarity with first aid and CPR techniques is essential; certification is a plus. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or autism is highly valued. Strong skills in patient observation and monitoring; ability to recognize changes in behavior or health status. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges safely. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Knowledge of care plans and experience in direct support roles is beneficial.
