ABOUT THE ROLE





EPFC is looking for a senior level Buyer to join our Supply Chain Management team. This role will be reporting to the Manager of Supply Chain Management. The role requires product knowledge and experience in procuring and managing construction site services, major tagged equipment, bulk materials, in alignment with corporate and procurement strategies. Senior level of experience assures cost certainty and timely delivery of products meeting or exceeding project budgets, schedules, and other change or urgent project requirements.



Additionally, you will build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance. You will also work with Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Construction to ensure a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES




Manage relationships with key suppliers, negotiate high-value contracts, and ensure the timely procurement of quality materials and services. Work closely with internal departments, to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives and support cross-functional projects. Understands the supply chain budget, monitoring, tracking and reporting commitments. Effective AML compliance. Able to manage a portfolio of procurements for multiple projects. Manage RFQ, RFP, Award, Expediting, Coordination of Transportation, PO reconciliation and closeout. Is aware of which terms and conditions are standard in contracts and how they should be applied. Monitors their orders closely, understands the need to escalate issues. Manages OS&D's and claims. Is aware of the role, required delivery, and its impact on success of the project. Ensures that stakeholders who relies upon the provision of information receives a correct & timely response. Uses organizational systems, technology, and WOW. ####

Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with the ability to work effectively with all stakeholders, both internal and external. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work activities. Strong team player with positive collaborative attitude. Ability to work independently and with minimal direction. Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting experience. Strong work ethic and attention to detail. ####

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS




Minimum 5 years purchasing experience, preferably in Fabrication, Manufacturing or Construction with working knowledge with the following processes: + Demand Specifications
+ Request For Quote and Purchase
+ Requisition & Approvals
+ Purchase Order Creation and Ordering
+ Order Confirmation, Tracking, Expediting, and Reporting
+ Order Delivery & Receipt, including OS&D's, and Claim Management
+ Invoice Reconciliation and PO closeout.
Working knowledge of price certainty, delivery certainty, and the value of supplier services. Working knowledge of MS Office including SharePoint, Excel, Word, MS Teams, etc. Preference will be given to those candidates who have strong product knowledge of Construction Site Services (crane, scaffolding, piling, concrete, etc), Major tagged equipment (mechanical, EI&C, etc.), Fabrication Bulks (PVF, Structural Steel, Insulation, etc.), and Construction Bulks (cable, electrical, etc.). ####
