Senior Buyer, Finished Goods

About the Role:
Reporting to the
Purchasing Manager
, the
Senior Buyer, Finished Goods
is responsible for the operational execution of Superior Glove's finished goods replenishment from international vendors. This includes issuing and reviewing purchase orders, monitoring shipments, and maintaining vendor communication to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
The Senior Buyer will also provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members, helping maintain purchasing consistency and efficiency across the organization.

Location:
This is position is based out of 36 Vimy Street, Acton, Ontario. This is currently available as a hybrid work opportunity.

Responsibilities:
Issue and manage purchase orders for finished goods replenishment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Communicate daily with international vendors to track shipments, resolve issues, and maintain supplier relationships.
Support vendor scorecard reviews and KPI tracking for on-time delivery, cost, and quality.
Partner with Planning and Forecasting to align replenishment with service-level goals.
Analyze costs, vendor performance, and purchasing data using ERP and reporting tools.
Mentor and provide operational guidance to other buyers within the department.
Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, Logistics, and Product Compliance teams to ensure smooth purchasing operations.
Maintain compliance with trade regulations and vendor onboarding standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Occasional travel to vendor sites or Superior Glove locations (up to 5%).

Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing, preferably with international buying exposure.
Strong ERP proficiency (NetSuite preferred).
Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills across cultures and time zones.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with Power BI or advanced analytics tools.
Experience with vendor scorecards and supplier performance systems.
Knowledge of UFLPA compliance or similar trade regulations preferred.
Bilingualism in either Spanish, Mandarin, and/or Cantonese is considered an asset.
