Senior Business Partner, IT (Information Technology)

Alberta Innovates (AI) is seeking a Senior IT Business Partner to support the team and organization with project and program implementation. The successful incumbent will be working directly with client groups and vendors while engaging with IT team members to support the organization and executing the achievement of the IT team\xe2\x80\x99s goals.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Solutions, the Senior IT Business Partner, will be integral to the team\'s success. The successful incumbent will be accountable for (but not limited to) the following: Develops effective collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to Identify and implement IT solutions to meet business requirements using technical applications. Provides exceptional client support, ensuring that needs are addressed in a responsive and timely manner, ensuring technical services are effective and available. Business Relationship Management activities to represent business interests in IT projects, establish trusted relationships, and to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and outcomes through technology. Develops and communicates models, showcasing risk reduction, and outlining payback solution timelines. Full cycle project management including: Developing business cases and proposals. Defining requirements including business processes, budget, negotiating resources, project schedules, and business outcomes. Identifying, communicating, and mitigating risks. Project progress tracking and reporting. Effectively building and managing project teams. Successful execution of projects on time and within budget. Acts as a technical expert in the areas of; infrastructure, applications, systems, software development and testing, data processing, and programming Encouraging and supporting the adoption of digital processes and technologies. Participate in evaluation of solutions (proof of concept) with businesses and IT.

Qualifications and skills we are looking for: Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, Computer systems technology, Information technology, Bachelor of Commerce, or related discipline. Minimum 8 years prior Information Technology experience in a similar role and a broad knowledge of Information Technology. Strong understanding of Information Technology\xe2\x80\xafincluding experience working in a Microsoft Windows environment and In-depth knowledge of relational database design concepts. Knowledge of: Data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications. Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. System analysis and design, application development, deployment, and maintenance. Relational database design concepts and database development. Various development environments: .NET, Power Platform, Azure DevOps, and cloud services. Demonstrated project management skills with multidisciplinary, or multiplatform projects. Experience leading Agile Product teams is an asset. Ability to quickly develop strong partnerships between people in business, vendors, and technical roles. Dedicated, self-motivated, and results oriented person who can interact effectively with all levels of the organization. Strong verbal, written, listening and interpersonal skills to convey concepts and information that both business and technical staff can understand. Demonstrated interest in advancing knowledge of technology and its application to solving business and organizational issues. Ability to be a strong change advocate and produce results. Highly developed troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills. Comfortable with ambiguity and change. Lean Six Sigma & ITIL fundamentals are an asset.
