The opportunity

As a Senior Business Architect, you will be a professional member of our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team. Our FAAS Finance Optimization group operates principally through 5 main pillars: Finance Strategy, Finance Operational Efficiency, Finance Systems, Enterprise Performance Management and Strategic Cost Management. We understand the evolving role of the CFO and the Finance function, and work with our clients to automate and streamline efficiency, control, and compliance functions, while simultaneously improving the value Finance provides to the organization. Together with our substantial investments in technology, knowledge, and learning resources available to our advisory professionals, you will be part of the team that delivers fit for purpose financial optimization advisory services to our clients and their stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities
The Senior Business Architect will apply advanced process analysis skills, deep and expert knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations (F&O) capabilities, and an understanding of client requirements gathered using strong business and technical consulting skills to design and implement proven solutions that address client business challenges. The Senior Business Architect must possess deep knowledge of multiple Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Solution areas, specifically in the areas of Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain. The successful candidate will be skilled at communicating and demonstrating the value of Dynamics solutions to our clients with the goal of delivering solution designs to deliver business value.
Skills and attributes for success

  • Assist in identifying and creatively solving complex client problems, envisioning, and enabling critical processes, and fundamentally helping the client to achieve their objectives leveraging Dynamics 365 F&O.
  • Act as a client discovery lead: learn the most important client challenges and needs and uncover those problems that are unspoken, and ultimately define a proposed solution that will enable them to achieve their goals.
  • Provide expert overview & deep-dive product demonstrations and position the unique value of Microsoft Dynamics FO and related platforms to address client requirements.
  • Utilize a deep knowledge of financial processes and best practices to advise and guide the client during pre-implementation consulting engagements such as Requirements Gathering, Fit Gap Assessments, Design and Configuration.
  • Align with stakeholders to convert business requirements into capabilities, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Provide thought leadership on automation and process improvement ideas.
  • Identify and analyze risks and issues for the program or project portfolio in conjunction with project managers

To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Commerce or equivalent
  • 10+ years designing and delivering ERP solutions (particularly finance modules) including experience in analyzing business processes & guiding clients through software selection and discovery processes
  • 5+ years Microsoft D365 F&O (formerly Dynamics AX) development experience demonstrating an ability to enhance and implement Dynamics 365 F&O for clients based on their business requirements across the full cycle of implementation
  • Deep understanding of emerging Microsoft technologies including; Azure Cloud Platform, Power Bi, PowerApps, Flow, Azure Data lake, DevOps, RSAT
  • ITIL operational awareness and understanding
  • Working experience with Azure DevOps is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Finance process design and leading practices
  • Proven record of delivering business value by leveraging technology and an ability to communicate strategic technical concepts at an executive level and be a trusted voice at the decision-making table.
  • Experience managing projects using Waterfall, Agile (Scrum) and hybrid methodology approaches
  • Experience managing relationships with Software vendors / system implementors
  • Experience managing diverse / multi-jurisdictional project teams
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of an organisation. Ability to effectively communicate to different audiences including internal and external stakeholders and peers clearly and concisely in written, oral and various presentation formats and situations
  • Demonstrated expertise in D365 Finance & Supply Chain Management.
  • Microsoft Dynamics D365 Functional Certifications highly desirable including:
    • MB-310: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant
    • MB-300: Microsoft Dynamics 365: Core Finance and Operations
    • Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Solution Architect
    • Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate
    • Power Platform Solution Architect

Ideally, you\xe2\x80\x99ll also have
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or similar process optimization methodologies would be an asset
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be an asset
