The Mission

Reporting to the Manager, Service Navigation, the Senior Business Analyst (CSO 4) serves as a subject matter expert in delivering service excellence through their strong business analyst skills.

Your Role & Its Impact

Your role is to lead planning, evaluation, and implementation activities to support our mandate of continuous service improvement. As a subject matter expert in business process re-engineering and continuous improvement, you will provide advanced strategic and professional analytical services for departmental program/business units within government. You will also act as a bridge between and across multidisciplinary teams to ensure our services meet defined technology solutions and business needs. This requires taking a leadership role in defining solutions and assisting with the implementation of business process improvement initiatives to realize program and operational savings, improved client service and attainment of strategic goals. As a team lead, you will also have the opportunity to coach, mentor and develop staff.

Who You Are & What You Bring to the Table

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science plus minimum of 5 years\' related experience.
  • Alternative Qualification: Graduation from a recognized Information Technology Program or Business Analysis program plus minimum 5 years and 6 months related experience. An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. Applicants relying on equivalencies must clearly demonstrate them in their application.
  • Project Management & Business Analysis: You should have experience in project management methodologies and business analysis with a strong focus on continual service improvement and IT service delivery.
  • Team Leadership & Adaptability: You must demonstrate that you can lead and mentor a dynamic, multidisciplinary team while managing competing priorities. You will be flexible and adaptable to ever changing priorities.
  • Relationship Management: You must have demonstrated ability to proactively manage relationships with partners at all levels of the organization from both the provincial and health sectors.
  • Problem Solving & Communication: You must demonstrate a high degree of logical problem-solving ability with well developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Qualification Assets: ITIL certification, Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) are considered assets.
