Summary



We are seeking an experienced detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing financial records and ensuring accurate bookkeeping practices, taking charge of the daily accounting and payroll functions. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with multiple entities, requiring accuracy, organization, and an understanding of construction accounting.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys maintaining detailed financial records, working closely with leadership, and contributing to the smooth financial operations of the business.

Responsibilities



Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable. Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy. Utilize accounting software such as Account Edge & QuickBooks Online for financial reporting. Process payroll accurately and on time. Maintain complete full-cycle accounting records across multiple entities, including journal entries and general ledger updates Reconcile HST, payroll remittances, and other required filings Prepare month-end working papers and assist with management reporting Track expenses, job costs, and cash flow for ongoing construction projects Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.

Qualifications



Proven experience, with a minimum of 5 years as a Senior Bookkeeper within the construction industry, ideally with multi-entity exposure. Proficiency in accounting software including Account Edge & QuickBooks Online. Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, payroll processing, and reconciliations High level of accuracy and organizational skills to manage large transaction volumes Keep all financial records organized, accurate, and ready for review Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines. Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy. Knowledge of payroll processing is essential.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 32 per week
