About the Team

DashMart is a new team at DoorDash focused on building a new type of convenience store, offering both household essentials, grocery, and convenience items to our customers' doorsteps leveraging DoorDash owned and operated darkstores. In this model, DoorDash leases real estate, selects and purchases inventory, sets pricing, and operates the darkstores. This is a new team to DoorDash and is conquering our next large line of business in partnership with a globally recognized Canadian retailer. In this partnership, we will bring a curated selection of convenience and grocery products sourced from a robust supply chain to Canadian consumers in under 30 minutes.

About the Role

The Senior Associate, Pricing will be responsible for setting and evaluating item level pricing within each Dashmart. She/he will consider the landed item cost, competitor's pricing, and pricing elasticity in order to set prices that maximize revenue. This is an exciting role as you directly impact shopper basket sizes and gross revenue. In this role you will work closely with cross functional partners including Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, and Analytics (to name a few). You will be a core member of the DashMart strategy team and play a pivotal role in the team's success.

In this role you will report into the Senior Manager, Marketplace Operations.

  • Strategize - Test and set pricing levels that allow the business to maximize both order volume and subtotal.
  • Engage - Implement scalable initiatives and partner with cross functional teams to solve problems that can improve basket sizes and 'Item Add to Cart' rate.
  • Experiment - Use data-driven decision making and analytics to run tests on varied pricing strategies.
  • Analyze - Work with your team to build models that evaluate the elasticity of item pricing by category, region, and SKU.
  • Influence - Work cross-functionally with our darkstore operations, Product, Engineering, and Analytics etc. teams to drive strategic initiatives and harness opportunities.
  • Participate in any company-wide training programs (WeDash, etc.)
