Job Title Associate, Pricing & Business Management



What is the opportunity?

To support the business in a manner consistent with the growth, retention and risk mitigation strategies of GTB. The incumbent will support (a) the client pricing process by tracking, reviewing and making recommendations on fee and interest arrangements; (b) premises/real estate components of business management (c) and other administrative areas as assigned from time to time.

What will you do?

Pricing & Planning

  • Support the GTB Senior Management team to set pricing priorities for the year and implement a plan to deliver repricing across all client segments
  • Support pricing strategy and ensure Coverage and Client Management are equipped to execute and are held accountable for delivery of revised pricing
  • Engage client management and coverage team for pricing contracts coming due to ensure pricing process is initiated months in advance
  • Review and analyze pricing proposals by client management
  • Recommend pricing proposals for approval by senior management and ensure implementation by the Coverage and Client Management teams
Business Management
  • Provide ongoing support to the team in all areas related to business management to ensure business objectives can be met, including premises, records management, etc.
  • Manage numerous internal projects/initiatives on behalf of GTB ensuring prioritization based on client and business impact
  • Act as an advocate for GTB in the enterprise across a number of project and other related divisional and bank-wide initiatives
Revenue Maximization & Transformation
  • Support to develop framework, strategies and procedures to optimize and maximize revenues
  • Support the transformation of pricing to simplify the process and ensure end to end effectiveness from analysis to post review
  • Define the requirements for data management team to develop dashboards to replace MIS reporting and manual processes related to client pricing and terms & conditions
Administration
  • Primary owner for SharePoint site supporting GTB activities
  • Train client management to load and maintain Terms & Conditions and other documents
  • Co-ordinates requisitions for furnishings, electrical, mechanical and communications equipment, as required
What you need to succeed?
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a focus in business, accounting, economics, engineering, mathematics or other quantitative field, and relevant work experience
  • Previous banking experience or transaction banking experience; knowledge of clearing, payments, trade finance would be an asset
  • Ability to read and understand complex legal documents (e.g. fees and interest rate arrangements)
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to critically assess client pricing and other client reports to draw reasoned conclusions and recommend a course of action
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong negotiation skills and an ability to manage conflicting demands and viewpoints, and multiple stakeholder expectations
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and to interact at all levels within a large organization
  • Ability to prioritize, perform well under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to strike a balance in putting \xe2\x80\x9cClient First\xe2\x80\x9d while ensuring that internal standards are maintained and deliverables are provided
  • Strong general PC Skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Nice to have:
  • Advanced Data Skills (e.g. SQL)
