Company Description
The MUFG Business Process Outsourcing Team (BPO) performs outsourced middle office/trade support operations for investment managers. Our client\xe2\x80\x99s partner with us by outsourcing internal operations to the MUFG BPO team, leveraging our expertise, and freeing up their in-house resources, allowing them to stay focused on their primary investment objectives. Role of the Sr Associate is to complete or review daily tasks that are derived based off the service offering negotiated with the client. This also includes the ability to train new staff on all aspects of their daily responsibilities. Often the daily tasks will comprise of use of multiple systems along with completion of different deliverables. The candidate will be expected work in fast paced team environment, showing a drive to learning specific tasks while maintaining the core values that MUFG uses as a backbone to provide top tier client service. Tasks include reconciliations (Cash/trade/positions/Other), trade confirmation (using matching platforms or via manual paper confirms), wire value implementation and performance reporting. The Sr associate level role is the foundation of any client service provided by MUFG and due to this the candidate must show a willingness to work the necessary hours to meet deliverables while showcasing their abilities to troubleshoot any issues with deliverables and communicating to client or custodian pursuing a resolution. Along with a drive to increase their knowledge through means or training, the ideal candidate will also bring some investigative/problem solving abilities gained from Education or prior experience.


  • Review daily and monthly estimate and final fund NAVs
  • Perform NAV reconciliations with third-party administrators
  • Analyze fund performance and investor allocations
  • Ensure client capital activity and related payments are paid and accounted for
  • Review and reconcile client capital statements generated by third-party administrators
  • Prepare a number of schedules for financial reporting and regulatory requirements
  • Review the calculation of and pay management and performance fees following the funds\' governing documents
  • Perform daily review of portfolio valuation, performance and deal flow activity
  • Evaluate cash availability and record daily activity
  • Produce custom client reporting
  • Help with projects to streamline review and reporting of different performance analytics
  • Collaborate with different Finance and Operations teams within the client environment
  • Assist team members in responding to client and internal requests


Qualifications
  • 2+ years\' experience in relevant role
  • Understanding of securities such as equities, bonds, forwards, futures, options, etc. preferred but not required
  • Proven investigative, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working closely with clients
  • Strong computer skills with strengths in Microsoft Office products. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is particularly an asset.
  • Accounting systems experience is strongly preferred
