Senior Architectural TechnologistKumar Architecture Ltd., specializes in quality residential, mixed use commercial, Hotels, Industrial prefabricated building and office Architecture. Given the small size of our office and the diversity of project types, this position demands a lot of dedication. Candidates must have an enthusiasm for a variety of tasks, take a leadership roles, learning new skills and "jumping in" when deadlines loom. This position requires an organized individual with a minimum five years experience who is equally capable of working independently or providing project team leadership. Currently, we have immediate openings for Senior architectural technologist in our West Vancouver Office.Preferable candidate should have a multi-faceted background demonstrating familiarity with all technical aspects of architectural design. This will include a thorough understanding of building code and building construction through experience in a variety of residential and commercial projects with a special focus on construction administration and contract documents.Some of the tasks will include: Development and building permit drawings, Construction documents, Contract administration, Coordinating with consultants, Building code & bylaw checksDegree or Diploma in Architectural TechnologyProficiency and self-sufficiency in Revit is a mustExceptional communication ability, both written and verbalStrong knowledge of BC building code, building & envelope science, assembly detailing, construction methodology and material applicationsExperience in field review, construction methods, contract admin and permit processExcellent organizational, time management and prioritization skillsWork responsibilitiesSuccessful candidate will report to principal Architect. The candidate will work closely with principal Architect and must have ability to take clear directions to make development and building permit drawings in as et timeframe. He/she should be well verse with the latest BC building codes and if needed should set up a meeting with city officials for project related works, if required.Personal experience-Ability to work with tight deadline-Gentle and respectable attitude in dealing with clients-Ability to solve conflicts in a respectable manner-Ability to help with site visits and do site reviews.-Professional email writing capabilities-General attitude to help and troubleshootJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $54,000.00-$66,000.00 per yearAdditional pay:
