You will take full ownership of projects from concept through completion--guiding internal teams, managing timelines and budgets, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients. The ideal candidate brings together strong design sensibility and executional focus to ensure each project is delivered smoothly on time and aligned with client expectations at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation, and coordination of multi-family and mixed-use architectural projects
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, building trust through proactive, clear communication
Manage client expectations and ensure alignment throughout all project phases
Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources using project management tools
Ensure compliance with all applicable Alberta building codes, bylaws, and municipal regulations (e.g., City of Calgary)
Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, authorities, city and internal teams
Provide technical leadership during pre-design and programming phases
Manage the quality and consistency of project deliverables
Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative, supportive environment
Participate in proposal development and client engagement
Contract administration
Qualifications
Licensed Architect in Alberta (or eligible for registration with the AAA)
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in architectural design and project management
Strong portfolio focused on multi-family, mixed-use, and/or commercial projects
Deep understanding of Canadian building envelope systems and Alberta building code
Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite
Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and project workflows
Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced setting
