Join a team that has the environment down to a science.Your OpportunityWe are looking to expand our archaeology team and are seeking a full time Archaeologist to lead field programs. Work will focus on projects across various service lines in the Yukon, with opportunities to contribute to projects in British Columbia.Your Key ResponsibilitiesLead cultural resource management assessmentsPrepare technical reportsActively participate in Stantecxe2x80x99s HSSE programsQualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsExperience leading field-based cultural resource management assessments, including supervising staffExperience identifying traditional use sites and features, CMTs and precontact and historical artifactsAbility to hold a Class 2 Yukon Archaeological Site Regulation permit, or possess the required experience to become a permit holder in the near futureDedicated to following and promoting a strong safety cultureDesire to work closely with other environmental professionals and First NationsExcellent technical writing skills and experience in cultural resource management, including the preparation of regulatory deliverablesSelf-motivated and ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity and innovationValid Class 5 Driverxe2x80x99s License (Yukon), or equivalentEducation and ExperienceA Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology is required. A Masterxe2x80x99s degree is an asset.Minimum 5 years of experience in Cultural Resource Management. Experience in the Yukon is an asset.Experience working in remote locations is an asset.Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.   • Lower Mainland $92,600/BC Other Areas $87,400 - Lower Mainland $138,900/BC Other Areas $131,000 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby)
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
