Overview:

Mitel is looking for an experienced Senior Application Security Program Manager to join our team!

As a Senior Application Security Program Manager, you will provide operational leadership for Mitel\xe2\x80\x99s product security vulnerability management program, with accountability for the effective and efficient implementation of best practices to meet remediation and communication objectives. You will work closely with development team security primes, technical support leads, CISO incident managers, and operations and communications teams. You will manage R&D operational co-ordination for incident and vulnerability response. You will develop and maintain a broad understanding of Mitel\xe2\x80\x99s portfolio, secure development practices, and evolving security threat landscape. You will provide leadership to improve secure design, security testing, and vulnerability management for Mitel\xe2\x80\x99s products and cloud services.

The ideal candidate will be an articulate, results driven security professional with an R&D systems or software development background. You will be able to manage competing priorities addressing escalations, managing operational responsibilities, and driving security process and tools improvements. You will be able to interact broadly across functional teams, providing technical guidance to development teams, external communications, and status reporting to internal stakeholders.

You will join the Product Security team responsible for the security, privacy, and compliance of Mitel\xe2\x80\x99s Unified Communications products and cloud service offers. You will apply your current skills and learn new skills with focus on advancing Mitel\xe2\x80\x99s secure development practices.

Responsibilities:

Define product security policies and work with development and operations teams to create and implement processes to improve vulnerability management for Mitel products and cloud services;

Determine evaluation criteria and analyze the operational effectiveness of Mitel\xe2\x80\x99s vulnerability management practices in R&D and DevOps;

Provide operational leadership for R&D security primes to meet remediation and communication objectives aligned with Mitel\xe2\x80\x99s Product Security Policy;

Act as security expert resource to support development teams in assessing exposures and determining remediation plans;

Coordinate communications internally and to customers & channel partners;

Write security disclosures and advisories for public publishing;

Manage R&D operational coordination for incident and vulnerability response, collaborating with the corporate and cloud incident response teams to effectively mitigate exposures;

Lead root cause analysis, define and implement corrective actions, and champion improvements to Mitel\xe2\x80\x99s secure development lifecycle practices;

Define workflows, metrics and monitoring for efficient vulnerability management;

Recommend tooling and automation to optimize effectiveness and efficiency;

Provide oversight, orientation and training for R&D security primes;

Provide monthly metrics and reporting to R&D & operational leadership;

Requirements:

Engineering or Computer Science diploma/degree preferred; or high school diploma + equivalent technical experience.

Minimum 9 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience including program management roles in production software or cloud services environment and at least two years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a security management role.

Broad expertise across multiple security testing methodologies and tools.

Knowledge of security and risk assessment including CVSS ratings.

Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Additional Preferred Skills:

Experience assessing security capabilities and security exposures for products deployed in both premise and cloud solutions.

Experience engaging with security researchers and customer security resources.

Knowledge of VoIP, communications, and collaboration applications.

Knowledge of AWS and GCP security frameworks and services.

Professional security certification (e.g. CISSP, CSSLP).

Formal and self-directed training is available for technologies, products and security standards.
