Movellus is your go-to infrastructure IP partner for high-performance, energy-efficient SoCs. We specialize in clocking, droop detection, and power management, seamlessly integrating these innovations into diverse applications--from edge AI devices to performance-driven cloud datacenter computing and networking. Our IP solutions empower customers to enhance their chip's power and performance by enabling advanced techniques like per-core DVFS, dynamic droop mitigation for reduced voltage margins, and sophisticated PDN telemetry.


As an application engineer you will be part of the global support team based in North America. This is a customer-facing role focused on post-sales deployment and customer support (IP integration up to silicon mass production) of Movellus' synthesizable IP solutions.



Support pre-sales team during customer presentations Develop advanced pre-sales and support collateral including testbenches, scripts, control software and application notes Engage with customers' engineering teams to evaluate and integrate Movellus' products into their designs, demonstrating value propositions and ease of use Delight customers with responsive and professional support during IP integration, tapeout and silicon bring-up, including duplicating customer concerns and interfacing with engineering to develop efficient solutions Become an expert user of Movellus' products, understanding the inner workings, and focusing on the digital interface aspects including configuration registers, state machines, programmability, and various modes of operation Promote Movellus product through occasional pre-sales technical customer presentations, Q&A sessions, and industry conferences

Required Education and Experience



BSEE, MS, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience) 10+ years of semiconductor industry experience 2+ years of experience in customer facing applications engineering or similar roles Proficiency with ASIC Place-and-Route flows using industry-standard development tools Experience with analog SPICE simulations Ability to work in Linux engineering environment Strong problem-solving skills Working knowledge of Verilog/System Verilog

Desired Qualifications



International support experience SOC architecture or block level design experience Experience selling or supporting semiconductor IP Experience in semiconductor silicon verification and demonstration (lab equipment and testing) Experience with analog transistor-level layout and associated flows Experience with System Verilog simulation Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or TCL Ability to communicate in Mandarin or Hebrew is an asset


The position will be located in our Toronto, Canada office. Up to 10% travel is anticipated.
