  • Conduct data analytics, performance measurement analysis, and program evaluation addressing a wide variety of issues in occupational health and safety, management oversight, internal operations, and disability management
  • Identify trends, emerging issues, drivers, and opportunities of business significance to WorkSafeBC, and developing recommendations to management and senior management related to those areas
  • Develop/improve data models for forecasting/prediction, targeting, outlier detection, and performance measurement to successfully convey key themes and messages
  • Facilitate inter-departmental and inter-organizational sessions focused on performance improvement, opportunity identification, and problem solving, leveraging data to meet business objectives
  • Lead various internal teams on ad-hoc requests, investigations, pilot studies, proofs of concept, and various program evaluation projects

  • Independently plan, prioritize, schedule, and complete complex multi-task workload of projects and activities to consistently meet deadlines
  • Gather information; summarize, verify and interpret data; assimilate technical and business information; and review relevant information with clients, co-workers, and contacts
  • Clearly and concisely present analysis results and recommendations both in written reports and verbally to individuals and groups of varying levels of expertise
  • Identify significant information from a variety of sources, collect and analyze data to develop, assess, and establish meaningful ways of grouping and transforming data to draw conclusions of underlying issues
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative research methods (e.g. statistical analyses, data modeling, text mining, machine learning, predictive analytics, sampling, survey and questionnaire design).
Your background and experience
  • A master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a quantitative-related discipline such as statistics/mathematics, operations research, big data, data science, computer science, information technology, finance, business, management information systems, or engineering.
  • A minimum of three years of directly related experience in business intelligence, statistical analysis, strategic analysis, and/or advanced analytics.
