Senior Analyst Developer - Event Platform (Confluent - Kafka) The Event Data Streaming and Processing Technology Foundation is in charge of several cross-functional platforms offering high-volume event data streaming and processing capabilities. As a cross-functional team, we work in collaboration with our client's application development projects to provide them with modern, high-performance platforms that meet their needs. We are looking for an experienced DevOps Developer, specialized in the management and optimization of Kafka platforms (Confluent). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of our data streaming infrastructure, ensuring the high performance and reliability of our mission-critical systems. Main responsibilities Design and Deployment: Design and deploy Kafka (Confluent) solutions tailored to the needs of our client's various business applications, taking into account performance, security and stability requirements. Automation: Develop scripts and tools to automate the deployment, configuration and management of Kafka clusters. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve performance and reliability issues. Cross-team collaboration: Work closely with development, architecture and security teams to ensure seamless integration of Kafka solutions into the company's technology ecosystem. Documentation: Write and maintain complete and up-to-date technical documentation of platform-related configurations, processes and procedures. Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to team members and internal project teams to ensure effective use of the platform. Requirements Profile required Bachelor's degree in technology or software engineering Demonstrated experience in the implementation, use and optimization of Kafka products, Kafka Connect as well as event flow transformation technologies Kafka Stream, KsqlDB, Flink in an enterprise environment REQUIRED Knowledge of security best practices, such as OAuth2 authentication, SASL/SSL, RBAC-based authorization, SSO and certificate management. Mastery of several Kafka monitoring and management tools (Confluent Control Center, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk and Dynatrace) to monitor performance and resolve problems. Ability to optimize Kafka performance, including managing topics, partitions, replicas, and tuning configurations for maximum performance. Strong programming (Python, Java or .NET) and scripting (Bash, Perl, etc.) skills. Experience with Agile/SAFe methodology an asset. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams. Good popularizer with an interest in knowledge sharing and collaboration
