Your Opportunity:
Are you passionate about collecting and analyzing data to help improve health care? The Chinook Primary Care Network (CPCN) is seeking a dedicated and detail orientated Senior Analyst. This role offers the chance to support local primary care offices to connect information with quality improvement initiatives, working closely with CPCN Integration Leads and clinic team so measure and improve primary care delivery. The Chinook Primary Care Network is anticipated to transition to the new Regional Primary Health Care Network model in 2026, and this position is expected to transition as a member of the CPCN Central Support Team.
Description:
As a Senior Analyst, you will focus on: Measurement and Evaluation. Support and advise on evaluation of clinical, access, and efficiency data to support quality improvement. Determine and advise on appropriate data collection and analysis approaches. Support clinics to leverage EMR reports and dashboards. Assist clinics to develop internal data reporting processes. Clinical Information Management: Extract, clean, link and analyse data from a variety of sources. Prepare reports and present findings to clinic teams. Advise, guide and support optimal organization and use of EMR data. Support the development of EMR reminder systems. Central Information Management: Maintain CPCN dashboards and reports for network-wide data. Request and/or extract data from Provincial Health Authority databases to maintain CPCN internal data tables. Quality Improvement and Planning: Builds, supports, and helps sustain panel management clinic processes. Provides advice to clinic teams and CPCN Management on quality improvements in support of the goals of the CPCN. Provide education and understanding regarding best practice information management techniques and how this affects patient care. Support Implementation and Sustainability of Primary Care Initiatives: Participate in Communities of Practice related to measurement, evaluation, and EMR practices in Alberta. Support provincial data initiatives such as CPAR. Works with clinics to provide them with information in support of panel management and patient attachment initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or college diploma preferred, with a strong quantitative component in a related field (e.g. health, business, statistics, quality assurance, etc.), or several years of equivalent experience with clear demonstration of expert knowledge of technical tools and concepts. 3-5 years' experience in working with complex datasets, including spreadsheet, databases and tools for querying, integrating, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data. Experience using EMR systems and/or health information databases. Demonstrated knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Access). Experience with Tableau desktop and web platforms, or like analytical software. Demonstrated experience with basic programming concepts (SQL). Demonstrated experience with statistics and quantitative data analysis. Good understanding of change management, project management and quality improvement activities. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Valid drivers' license required for travel to physician clinics within the CPCN (Southwestern Alberta).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with design and administration of surveys. Knowledge of clinical practices such as chronic diseases and clinical practice guidelines. Quality Improvement training. CHIM certification an asset. Experience and understanding of Primary Health Care, Patient's Medical Home and system integration. Experience working with family physicians and nurse practitioners in rural and urban settings. Experience working with multi-stakeholder teams.
