POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Analyst, IT Financial Accounting Management plays a key role in managing the production of consolidated financial budgets, including monthly, quarterly, and annual expense reports. As a financial reporting and accounting expert, he/she ensures the integrity and quality of consolidated financial information while overseeing complex budgeting and accounting matters. The role also involves costing project budgets and quantifying expected benefits and improvements to ensure alignment with the organization's overall business strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and consolidated budgets, including analysis of actual expenses versus planned figures and identification of variance drivers.
Present variance analyses and recommend corrective actions to reduce discrepancies.
Consolidate the IT budget and develop presentation materials tailored to IT needs, including breakdowns by Run vs. Projects and by spending categories.
Establish project budgets based on detailed cost studies.
Evaluate the financial implications of new initiatives, ensuring budget availability and preparing supporting financial analysis reports.
Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies or opportunities for improvement.
Represent IT in monthly Finance Steering Committee meetings.
Support IT leadership meetings as needed.
Contribute to the development of business cases for strategic IT initiatives.
Validate consultant invoices against contractual agreements and payment records.
Continuously improve processes, systems, and data quality to enable accurate and timely financial reporting.
Dsign and maintain interactive, drill-down dashboards to enhance transparency and access to financial information.
Collaborate with leadership to manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets across IT projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and compliance with accounting standards.
Partner with IT teams and external service providers, consultants, and vendors to provide financial guidance and oversight.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a finance role, including at least four (4) years specifically in IT finance and IT project financial management.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business operations, ideally within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated success in partnering with IT teams to support financial reporting, including the preparation of showback reports for various business divisions.
Comfortable providing remote financial support across multiple international locations.
Strong track record in leading financial forecasting, analysis, and ROI assessments for IT projects.
Experience in budgeting and forecasting with external vendors, including involvement in RFP processes, contract management, and negotiations in collaboration with procurement.
Skilled in building strong collaborative relationships across cross-functional teams, including business executives and IT stakeholders.
Proven ability to develop compelling business cases and influence strategic decision-making among peers and leadership.
Solution-oriented with a strong customer focus; adaptable to shifting business priorities and committed to delivering results.
Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge and support operational leaders on financial and project parameters.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a history of driving complex project analyses.
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong analytical skills with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced expertise in Excel, Project, and other project management tools.
Familiarity with IBM Cognos Controller, IBM Cognos Disclosure Management (CDM), and JD Edwards; experience with these systems is considered an asset.
LANGUAGES
Bilingual - Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French
Knowledge of English is required for this specific position as Kruger deals with partners across North America and the successful candidate will be required to communicate frequently with them.
