DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Foster strong collaboration between Finance and Plant Management Leadership team to ensure accurate financial data processing, including detailed plant cost analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Oversee the period-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, inventory reconciliations, plant cost statement analysis, and capital project tracking.
Provide analytical support by reviewing actual versus standard costs and delivering insights into cost drivers behind plant variances.
Partner with plant teams to develop and monitor annual budgets and periodic performance reports.
Collaborate with Operations and Costing teams to validate data used in standard costing processes.
Manage financial reporting and analysis for multiple manufacturing plants.
Travel to various plant locations throughout the year is required.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
Experience with SAP is preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile, interpret, and present complex manufacturing cost effectively.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
High attention to details.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across all levels and departments.
MINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting.
Accounting Designation or enrolled in CPA program is an asset.
3-5 years of experience in budgeting and financial analysis within a manufacturing environment and cost accounting.
Ability to communicate in French is an asset.
