What we are looking for:
Fiera Comox was established in 2016 by Fiera Capital and Comox Equity Partners, a corporation formed and owned by former executives and investment professionals of a large Canadian pension investment manager. Fiera Comox is a global investment manager that manages private investment strategies in Agriculture, Private Equity and Private Credit. Fiera Comox\xe2\x80\x99s investment team is composed of a group of highly qualified investment professionals with a diverse and unique skill set, who have worked together deploying multiple billions in private transactions globally while building an impressive track record.

Fiera Comox is looking for the next Senior Analyst, Finance and Administration to join their team. Your responsibilities:
  • Analysis and review of investment documentation to ensure accurate accounting of investments and investment-related activities for the Agriculture and Private Equity investment strategies
  • Coordinate and oversee the investment accounting and operating activities prepared and performed by the fund administrators
  • Analysis and review of monthly and quarterly financial statements and investor reporting for the Funds of the investment strategies
  • Preparation of complete annual financial statements and related notes to the financials for the Funds
  • Preparation of financial statements of the investment holding entities
  • Coordination of the external annual audit
  • Analysis and review of monthly accounting close processes of the monthly operating activities to ensure accurate accounting records
  • Coordination of the tax returns and sales tax returns with the external tax advisors and preparation of the supporting documentation
  • Develop and participate in the documentation, implementation and maintenance of adequate and effective internal controls and procedures
  • Take on many different roles and tasks to support the growth of the business

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or any related field
  • CPA designation is required
  • 5 years of experience in private market fund and direct investments accounting and financial reporting
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Bilingualism required (fluency in French and English)
  • Ability and flexibility to adapt to a wide range of roles
