At WestJet, our Commercial Development team shapes the future of our airline. We create and execute strategies that drive growth, profitability, and innovation across the business.
We're looking for a
Senior Analyst
who thrives at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and execution. In this role, you'll take ownership of initiatives end-to-end, from ideation and business case development to execution and measurement. You'll partner with teams across Network Planning, Pricing & Revenue Management, Strategy, Finance, Loyalty, and Sales to turn insights into action.
What you'll do:
Lead the design and execution of long-term commercial strategies that shape WestJet's growth
Build and present compelling business cases, financial models, and strategic recommendations that influence executive decisions
Drive projects across the full lifecycle: identifying opportunities, framing the approach, engaging the right stakeholders, and delivering results
Research market dynamics, new technologies, and innovative solutions to tackle complex business challenges and identify new opportunities
Analyze competitive trends and emerging industry shifts to uncover opportunities across network, pricing, scheduling, ancillaries, and sales
Act as a connector across the business -- aligning diverse teams to deliver on shared goals
What you bring:
A degree in business, economics, finance, or related field (MBA/CFA are considered strong assets)
Proven strength in financial and strategic analysis, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
5+ years of relevant analyst experience
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge
Experience in airline commercial strategy, revenue management, or network planning preferred
Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft executive-ready presentations that tell a story
Strong project leadership -- able to juggle multiple priorities, influence stakeholders, and see initiatives through
Familiarity with tools like SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, or Snowflake is an asset
Note:
The analyst level and title will be determined by the selection team, based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications.
