This role works more specifically to support the Operational Excellence Business Partners, to facilitate continuous improvement in safe production and cost performance. These provide opportunities to grow your career through a dedicated technical path while being rewarded for your unique skills.xe2x80x8bReporting to the Coordinator Operational Excellence, you will:Provide strategic, tactical and technical support, training, and coaching to operations and support teams in identifying, scoping, and executing business improvement projectsAssist in deployment of business improvement method and tools, in line with the business improvement strategy/planBe a part of SPS (Safe Production System) deployment in knowing best practices, coaching the management team and supporting the implementationLead area-wide business improvement projects, including but not limited to Six Sigma projects, Mandate Teams, Task Forces, Kaizens, 5S events or other Lean initiatives.Please note: Fly-in-fly-out arrangements are not available. Relocation assistance is provided if applicable.What youll bringA commitment to the safety of yourself and othersExperience in the use of Lean and/or Six Sigma improvement methodologies, such as Kaizens, Root Cause Analysis, Rapid Problem Solving, DMAIC project execution, etc.Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams and facilitate problem solving and conflict resolution among multiple stakeholdersA strong ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple projects, simultaneouslyDemonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including time management skills and facilitation skillsProficient data analytics & visualization skills, including ease with Microsoft suite and other relevant platformsIt is also beneficial if you have:A tertiary qualification in Industrial Engineering or related fieldLean Six-Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (completed or in progress)Experience within the mining, processing, or other heavy industryWe actively encourage applications from women and Indigenous Peoples for this opportunityWhere youll be workingxe2x80x8bWe are a leading North American producer and exporter of premium iron ore pellets and high-grade concentrate with average iron grades greater than 66%.
