Summary of responsibilities:




The

Senior Advisor, Maintenance Program, Maintenance Services

is responsible for leading the oversight, performance, and continuous improvement of airport screening equipment maintenance programs across Canada. The position leads maintenance teams and service providers and collaborates with stakeholders to meet compliance and performance goals. Responsibilities include, direct leadership to the Maintenance Service Providers (MSP), and technical teams, and partnering with stakeholders to achieve compliance, reliability, and performance optimization goals. They will report MSP performance to senior management, facilitate issue resolution and drive continuous improvement initiatives, in addition to maintaining budgetary oversight. The Senior Advisor, Maintenance Program, Maintenance Services performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.

What you need to succeed



To qualify for the position, you must have:



Graduation from a recognized college or university with a specialization in Technology or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position or equivalent experience. A minimum of five years (5) of experience Managing Maintenance Service Providers in the maintenance of complex Screening Equipment or equivalent across a wide geographical area. Knowledge and experience in defining and implementing large maintenance programs preferably in the field of aviation and or airport environment. Experience planning, organizing and coordinating various projects and programs. Experience researching, analyzing, reporting, and providing recommendations, both orally and in writing, to management regarding equipment maintenance. Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Strong ability to communicate effectively with various audiences, both orally and in writing. Strong technical and analytical skills. Flexibility and creative problem-solving. Self-motivated, independent, and reliable. Ability to work under pressure and in a time-sensitive environment.

Valuable skills include:



Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA. Experience collaborating with stakeholders, including Maintenance Service Providers, equipment manufacturers/suppliers, and facility owners. Experience in the air transportation or security industries. Knowledge of the operation of Hold-Baggage Screening (HBS) and Pre-board Screening (PBS) systems. Knowledge of screening technologies, equipment performance and operational standards, and equipment testing and evaluation practices. Knowledge of computer networking as related to the operation and maintenance of security screening equipment.

Specific work requirements



Ability to travel as required Language Profile : English essential. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
