Summary of responsibilities: Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources Programs , the Senior Advisor, Engagement and Culture is responsible for providing expertise and guidance to management and employees on all matters relating to employee well-being, career development, engagement and retention. In this role you are the conscience of the organization, you will act as a resource for management and employees on all issues related to the well-being of CATSA. To be successful in this role you will need to balance employees needs with business objectives. The Senior Advisor, Engagement and Culture performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required. What you need to succeed To qualify for the position, you must have: \xc2\xb7 Graduation from a recognized university in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources; \xc2\xb7 A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in human resources in four (4) or more disciplines which may include employee relations, recognition, classification, performance management and well-being; \xc2\xb7 A minimum of seven (7) years of experience providing expertise, guidance and coaching to management and employees in an operational and strategic business partner role; \xc2\xb7 Experience as a senior HR business partner supporting the development and management of programs, policies and procedures in an HR environment; \xc2\xb7 Experience managing multiple files in a fast-paced environment; \xc2\xb7 Experience in forming, leading and facilitating meetings and work groups; \xc2\xb7 Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of HR Management policies, practices, theories, concepts and systems; \xc2\xb7 Knowledge and understanding of employment laws (including the Canada Labour Code, Human Rights Act )and industry trends relating to HR. This position is best suited to individuals with the following skills and abilities: \xc2\xb7 Ability to provide creative solutions to problems or issues ranging from semi-routine to unusual and unique; \xc2\xb7 Strong interpersonal and personal judgment skills, ability to understand client needs and influence, persuade and liaise effectively; \xc2\xb7 Experience with fast-paced, complex and changing work environment; \xc2\xb7 Strong detail-orientation, analytical and research skills; \xc2\xb7 Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; strong presentation and group facilitation skills; \xc2\xb7 Ability to multi-task and identify priorities based on strong organizational skills; \xc2\xb7 Ability to work well in teams or independently; \xc2\xb7 Tact, diplomacy and discretion. Valuable skills include: \xc2\xb7 Knowledege of relevant federal legislation nd regulations ( ei: Employment Equity Act, Privacy Act, Canada Labour Code); \xc2\xb7 A Canadian Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or equivalent; \xc2\xb7 Ability to efficiently use a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to extract data using existing; reports; analyze the data using MS Office applications (intermediate level). \xc2\xb7 Certification or formal training in Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness \xc2\xb7 Experience developing and implementing Wellbeing, Engagement and Retention programs.
