OUR JOB OFFER

Under the immediate responsibility of the Assistant Director of Actuary – and as a senior in the team, the Senior Actuarial Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting the Assistant Director, Account Managers and Advisors by providing technical expertise with respect to major accounts. The incumbent is expected to:

• Ensure the preparation of specifications and annexes for calls for tenders, transmit them and follow up with insurers within the stipulated deadlines;
• Ensure the analysis of the bids received during the calls for tenders, make the preliminary projection of the results and prepare the final report to the client;
• Collaborate with the analyst in the implementation of major accounts for the implementation of plans
• Analyze and validate renewal proposals within the stipulated deadlines, prepare the negotiation strategy for discussion with the advisor, negotiate the renewal with the insurer and prepare the final report to the client
• Analyze the financial protections and conditions of clients and prospects and take part in the analyses and recommendations to be presented to clients with regard to design, changes to the plan, financial arrangements, flexible plans, etc.;
• Ensure the preparation of the balance statements of self-insured plans as well as projections;
• Validate the work produced by analysts to ensure quality and relevance and support them in their learning as needed
• Support in the development of tools, methods and reports that can help AGA improve the quality of its services;
• Accompany advisors and account managers to clients when required;
• Assume any other responsibility related to or vested in by his/her supervisor.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• University studies in actuarial science, mathematics, finance or another related discipline
• Command of Excel Advanced (e.g. VLookup, pivot tables) and PowerPoint (graphical presentations)
• Developed analytical abilities
• Command of French, both spoken and written
• Very good knowledge of the English language
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate judgment, integrity and honesty
• Ability to protect confidential information
• Professionalism, resourcefulness and ability to work independently.
