Role Overview

As our Senior Accounting Manager, you'll own the end-to-end finance function: day-to-day accounting operations, A/P, A/R, FP&A, forecasting, sales reporting, budgeting, and ensuring inventory, advertising spend, and overall expenses are managed efficiently and in line with budget. You'll partner closely with the President to streamline processes, implement scalable systems, and support capital-raising initiatives. We're looking for a young, hungry self-starter who's eager to roll up their sleeves and help build an awesome financial organization from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations:

Lead month-end close, GL maintenance, reconciliations, and journal entries.

Payables & Receivables:

Manage A/P workflows, vendor relationships, payment schedules, and A/R collections.

Financial Planning & Analysis:

Develop rolling forecasts, variance analyses, and KPI dashboards.

Budgeting & Reporting:

Drive annual budgeting process, monthly sales & margin reporting, and ad hoc financial analyses.

Inventory & Expense Management:

Monitor inventory valuations, optimize stock levels, and control operating expenses to ensure alignment with budget. Ensure ERP is integrated to provide up to date reporting.

Ad Spend Reporting and Control:

Oversee our largest expense line--digital advertising--by tracking spend against targets, analyzing ROI, and recommending adjustments to maximize efficiency.

Systems & Controls:

Implement and optimize ERP/Accounting systems; establish internal controls, policies, and documentation.

Capital & Restructuring Support:

Collaborate on fundraising materials, investor reporting, and business-streamlining projects.

Cross-Functional Partnership:

Work closely with Operations, Marketing, and Sales to align financial goals and drive data-driven decisions.

Must-Have Qualifications

CPA designation (or equivalent) with 5+ years' progressive accounting experience Proven track record in e-commerce or high-growth, rapidly changing environments Hands-on expertise with ERP/accounting platforms (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Xero) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, data modeling) Strong understanding of FP&A methodologies, budgeting, and forecasting

Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
