We are seeking a CPA-designated finance leader with strong ownership, accountability, and management skills to oversee our full-cycle accounting operations. This role requires a confident manager with the ability to streamline processes, strengthen internal controls, and provide accurate, actionable insights that support decision-making at all levels of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage full-cycle accounting, including payments, journal entries, invoices, remittances, and lot sale transactions. Review and approve monthly HST returns, statements of adjustments, and discharge statements. Record project revenue, fees, and recoveries, ensuring accuracy across multiple developments. Prepare cash flow projections, year-end financial statements, and corporate tax returns. Oversee project budgets, including job setup, budget control, subcontracts, and change orders. Maintain and optimize accounting systems, ensuring consistency with standard cost codes. Lead month-end and year-end closings. Monitor and resolve banking issues. Strengthen and enforce internal financial controls and procedures. Provide timely, clear, and actionable financial analysis and recommendations to management. Recruit, organize, train, and manage accounting staff.

Minimum Requirements:

CPA designation (required) with a university degree in accounting. Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience. Construction or real estate accounting experience strongly preferred. Strong managerial presence with proven leadership and team management skills. Advanced Excel knowledge and ERP experience (GP Dynamics preferred). High level of analytical ability, detail orientation, and initiative. Professional, reliable, and adaptable with a positive attitude.

Pay: $60,631.52-$148,043.46 per year
