Senior Accounting Technician:
Prepares payroll processing - error checking, adjustments and other tasks for weekly hourly payroll.
Knowledge of local collective agreement for payroll purposes
Processes accounts payable and receivable
Process and manage accounts payable
Prepare and support rules for various corporate and statutory filings: CNESST, T4, RL1, GST/HST/QST
Participate in period closings
Prepare working documents for internal and external audits and financial presentations
Participate in the budget process
Compliance with company rules
All other related tasksQualifications
This Senior Accounting Technician role requires:
post-secondary education in accounting or a business-related discipline.
Approximately 5 years experience in payroll and accounting.
Experience in a manufacturing and/or unionized environment
Working knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP system
Languages: fluent in French and English.
Intermediate Excel skills
Positive attitude and strong willingness to learnSummary
