The Senior Accountant contractor role is responsible for month-end close, financial reporting, revenue recognition, and audit coordination.
What you'll be doing

• Month-End Close Leadership: Leading the complete close process including expense review and classification, financial statement preparation, balance sheet reconciliations for multiple entities, variance analysis, revaluation for both books, and GL close in NetSuite. Accountable for signing off on financial statements.
• Revenue Recognition: Overseeing NetSuite revenue recognition processes, performing comprehensive revenue reconciliations across systems (SalesForce, NetSuite), managing deferred revenue accounting, and generating critical revenue reporting.
• Stock-Based Compensation: Managing all stock option accounting including grant reviews, journal entries, compensation expense accruals, and APIC reconciliations.
• Sales Tax & Foreign Exchange: Approving US sales tax returns, managing compliance, updating FX rates between entities, and adjusting unrealized gains/losses to CTA.
• External Audit Coordination: Serving as primary contact for external auditors, preparing audit workpapers, coordinating financial statement reviews, and responding to auditor questions.

What you bring to the table

• CPA designation (mandatory)
• 5-7+ years progressive accounting experience
• Advanced NetSuite ERP experience (configuration, reporting, and administration)

• Strong Excel Experience / Skills
• Multi-entity, multi-currency accounting experience
• Experience coordinating with external auditors
• Big 4 or national firm audit experience
• SaaS industry experience with subscription revenue models
• Process automation and system implementation experience
• International tax compliance experience (EU VAT, UK VAT)
