About Us: Dynamic and growing property services organization in the full-service repairs, restoration, administration and maintenance for residential and commercial buildings operating in the Lower Mainland with plans for expansion. The company is a group of 5 small to medium-sized operating companies.

Job Summary: The Group is looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our accounting team and contribute to our continued success. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the accounting teams for five operating companies. You need to be a hard worker and self-starter with a desire to be in an exciting and dynamic growth environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Mentor and supervise accounting staff, providing guidance and support

Manage accounts payable and receivable and payroll processes.

Manage cash flow and payables to ensure bills are paid in a timely manner.

Oversee collections calling to ensure jobs are completed, invoiced, and payment collected in a timely fashion.

Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Manage bill backs for shared services and cost allocations between operating companies.

Prepare financial reports for the leadership team, ensuring accuracy.

Support Project Managers to maximize operational profits on restoration and repair jobs

Report regularly to Project Managers on job costs and company KPIs.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting, job costing, and profitability analysis.

Assist with analysis of revenue and gross margins by job and job profitability to support decision-making.

Assist in developing strong policies, procedures, and internal controls over budgetary items.

Ensure compliance with all regulations and tax obligations. Conduct regular reviews to ensure financial integrity.

Qualifications:



Preferred experience in a similar role in a property management or services, or construction.

CPA Designation preffered. Applicants nearing CPA completion may be considered.



Proven ability to multi-task or work for a group of companies.

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting in Canada.

Proven experience in managing and leading an accounting team.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary:



Starting at CAD $72,000, commensurate with experience.

Schedule and Hours:



Regular office hours 8:30AM-5PM.

This is not a WFH/Remote position

. Offices in Langley and Surrey Central
