Our client is a private real estate investment firm seeking a Senior Accountant as they grow their team. Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for a portfolio of 8-10 commercial properties in the US and Canada. As part of a small team, you will have full responsibility for full-cycle accounting including GST/ HST remittances and corporate tax filings. You will also be the point of contact for tenants and real estate service companies in handling billing inquiries and rent discrepancies. You will manage all payroll remittances, WSIB, and EHT for employees.
What makes you a fit:
- 3-5 years experience in property accounting, exposure to triple net leasing is an asset
- Good understanding of Canadian and US corporate tax
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
- Enrolled in the CPA is an asset
