Job #4634- Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic non-profit organization to help them out with their year-end. Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join them on a 6-month contract with the potential to extend or become permanent. The successful candidate is a keen go-getter with strong communication and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for assisting with the cash performing accounting processes and providing analysis. Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, the main responsibilities include:

• Process claims for funding, provide analysis and create journal entries
• Reconcile accounts payable and subledger accounts and provide variance analysis
• Track and manage cashflow
• Assist with close processes and system implementation projects
• Review and interpret payroll reports
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Mandatory:
The main qualifications for this role include:

• Formal accounting education
• 5 years accounting experience, including full cycle and variance analysis
• Advanced Excel skills to manipulate data (XLookups, Pivot Tables, Sumif Functions)
• Excellent communication skills - oral and written
• Good problem-solving skills and high attention to detail

Definite Assets:

• Bilingual (French/English)
• ERP implementation experience

How You Will be Rewarded:

• $78,000 \xe2\x80\x93 $95,000 annual salary (pro-rated)
• Vacation paid out
• Hybrid work schedule - minimum 2 days in office
