About this opportunity
In this role, you will play a key role in the preparation of financial statements for various business entities within the group. You will also be involved in various continuous improvement and automation projects, allowing you to collaborate with the financial information, information technology and operations teams.

Workplace: 1500 Jules Poitras Boulevard, St-Laurent. Possibility of working remotely in a hybrid formula.

What you will do

• Develop and prepare various balance sheet item analyses, and implement control procedures to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Validate financial statements in collaboration with the business units and support operations.
• Participate in and coordinate the accounting closure of the business entities under his/her responsibility and investigate discrepancies.
• Support acquisition projects, business entity disposals and accounting process improvements.
• Provide documents required for external and internal auditors as well as for the production of tax returns and statutory financial statements.
• Collaborate with the Chief Accountant in various sporadic projects.

What you offer

• CPA accounting designation (required)
• University degree in administration, accounting or finance option
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting
• Excellent knowledge of Excel software
• Mastery of ERP software, People Soft an asset
• Bilingualism in French and English; Spanish an asset
