Senior ACCOUNTNAT & Office Manager

- Located in TORONTO, this pivotal role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our office environment. You will contribute significantly to our mission by overseeing administrative functions and supporting financial operations.

Major Responsibilities:



Full cycle accounting using QuickBooks including: AP, AR, entry of disbursements, bank reconciliations, journal entries, monthly HST filing, review of office procedures and preparation of annual accounting information for external accountants.

Cost analysis and profitability analysis

Prepare monthly bank reconciliations Follow up on customer orders to ensure invoices are issued accurately and timely. Inventory control and procedures Annual budgeting and monthly reporting with variances Maintains computerized/cloud filling and retrieval systems for records/documents, including file correspondence, records, reports, invoices Maintain USMCA certificates Assist with interim and year end audit and reporting requirements Maintain daily cash receipts and disbursements, advise management on cash requirements and monitor bank account balances to ensure coverage for all payments Collection of AR accounts Post A/P invoices, review vendor statements, follow through and ensure any receiving or pricing discrepancies are researched, corrected, documented and approved
Respond to inquiries made by customers by telephone or in writing

Maintains manual and computerized filling and retrieval systems for records/documents, including file correspondence, records, reports, invoices

Supervise and train staff

Perform corporate and legal duties as required

Key Qualifications:



Minimum 5+ years bookkeeping/Accounting experience. Full cycle accounting experience

Strong Quick Books knowledge

Bachelor's degree in accounting or diploma in Finance/Accounting/Business or a University degree in Accounting/Business/Commerce. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail. Self-motivated, punctual, confident, with Good organizational skills.
Proficient with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point,) and experience with layout and formatting procedures for text, tables, and spreadsheets.

Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures. Willingness to "roll-up your sleeves" to support your team and at times to go above and beyond the day-to-day to meet deadlines
