to join our team in Sherwood Park. This key role plays a vital part in both our financial and operational success -- overseeing full-cycle accounting, payroll, reporting, and invoicing, while ensuring the office runs efficiently and our team is well supported.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting & Finance
Manage full-cycle accounting including accounts payable, receivable, reporting and bank reconciliations.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Administer and process bi-weekly payroll for all employees.
Prepare and file tax remittances, GST/HST, and other required regulatory submissions.
Monitor budgets, cash flow, and financial performance, providing insights and reports to leadership.
Support year-end audits and maintain organized financial documentation.
Office Management & Administration
Oversee daily office operations and manage vendor relationships.
Supervise an administrative assistant and provide direction and support.
Coordinate company communications, scheduling, and general administrative duties..
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
CPA designation or working toward CPA is considered an asset.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to payroll and full-cycle accounting.
Experience managing or mentoring others in an administrative or accounting environment.
Strong working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and a high level of trust and confidentiality.
