CMLS Financial is looking for a Construction Finance Senior Account Manager to join our ACLP team in our Vancouver office. Under this mandate, CMLS provides project specific underwriting, structuring, loan recommendations, and loan advance administration for a federally funded national purpose-built multi-residential affordable housing program (CMHC's Apartment Construction Loan Program). Specific activities include loan structuring, obtaining investor approval, loan advance support and monitoring throughout the construction period
Key Responsibilities:
Actively manage and underwrite ACLP lending opportunities sourced by CMHC
Act as the Primary Contact/ liaison between the CMHC ACLP team and the borrowers/developers
Prepare credit submissions for recommendation to CMLS Credit Committee, as well as documentation to meet all the conditions precedent required to fund the loans
Prepare on-going construction loan draws, cross-referencing budgets, and ensuring applicable undertakings are satisfied per the loan Commitment Letter
Other administrative duties including Portfolio Management assistance, Credit reviews and providing guidance on process and procedure to prospective ACLP applicants.
Skills and Qualifications
You have completed an undergraduate degree in one of the following concentrations: business administration, accounting, finance, or real estate
A passion for real estate and at least 5 years of experience in construction finance and/or commercial mortgage underwriting
Previous experience dealing directly with borrowers/developers
Possess strong interpersonal relationship building, negotiation, conflict management and presentation skills
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team within a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Ability to take ownership of your work and demonstrate a high degree of accountability and commitment at all times
Very results-driven and possess strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
