Job Description
As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the incumbent is responsible for layout, installation,
repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures, fixtures, and buildings.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday - days (with flexibility to meet the needs of thehospital)
Pay Rate:
Will be in accordance with the S.E.I.U., Local 1 Canada Service WorkersCollective Agreement for Carpenter Classification.
Qualifications:
Education:
?
Secondary School Graduation Diploma;
?
Ontario Certificate of Qualification for General Carpentry.
Experience:
?
Experience with construction and/or renovation projects.
Required Skills:
?
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate
effectively, courteously and tactfully;
?
Analytical and problem solving skills;
?
Knowledge of relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, policies and
procedures installation and maintenance;
?
Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized spreadsheet,
database and word processing, programs at a proficient level;
?
Ability to organize work assignments, meet deadlines and work independently;
?
Ability to work cooperatively with other trades;
?
Must have annual review education completed;
?
Must have previous proven good performance and attendance record.
