In 2021, the business expanded its presence into the US, signing its first venue deals with properties in New York and California later that year.Our Security Team Leads does more than ensure the safety and security of our guests, staff and buildings. Often as the first point of contact, they are also Brand Ambassadors and help greet guests, see them on their way and be the person on point when an issue may arise.Think you have what it takes? Check IDs of patrons to ensure they are of legal drinking age
Ensure patrons who are visually intoxicated are not permitted to enter (or stay on) the premises
Help maintain the safety of patrons and staff
De-escalate conflicts and maintain a peaceful environment
Monitor the premises for any suspicious activity
Conduct bag check as required
Report any customer incidents or disturbances to management
Report writing
Interacting with law enforcement and other Services in a professional manner.
Able to manage a small security team
Able to work on the weekdays, weekends and holidays, late nightKnowledge, Skills, Abilities
Valid Ontario Security license
Valid CPR, First Aid & Smart Serve Certificate
Strong Communication skills
Conflict resolution
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to keep a calm and level demeanor in a variety of situations
To work independently or as part of a team
Experience in security is preferred (bar, clubs, concert venues)
Understanding of the liquor license Act & AGCOTerms & Expectations
